At least it's not a home owners cheap alumumium type. That's a pretty big guy up there, the rating applys vertically with all 4 leggs on the ground, I've done simular myself and realize the risk I'm taking.

:D I might! Depends on the situation. Do you know that mountain climbers often use regular aluminum straight ladders tied together to cross 1000 foot deep cravases? Not to climb up but as a bridge. I'm sure the manufacturer does not approve that either.;)

Not my favorite thing but I have worked 3 stories up on the outside of a building on a ladder sitting on top of a pedestrian walkway roof while hanging cast iron pipe. Fun stuff, NOT!:eek:

it's all good til someone get's hurt... then everyone will say oh you shouldn't have done it that way. hind sight is always 20/20
