I have never seen this AC label before and having trouble determining the manufacturer. I've looked in my 1960-2005 Prestons Guide without luck. My customer wants to know age and without a brand name I'm lost. Can you help?

Looks like Ducane numbers according to this:

How to Read Ducane HVACs Serial Number and Model Number (http://www.central-air-conditioner-and-refrigeration.com/how-to-read-ducane-hvacs-serial-number-and-model-number.html)

I would say that it was manufactured in 1996. Date code on the end of the serial number.

Whenever I have a difficult time with the date of the unit I always look for other signs that might give me a hint. On the very bottom of that label it has 1995(UL or ANSI date many times), so this tells you automatically the unit will be within a few years of that date.

The unit looks much younger than 15 years old. The link John sent worked out to July, 2009.

Good point, well heck! Were they still using R-22 refrigerant in 2009? I thought they stopped using it a few years earlier.

One reason I don't tell folks the age of things, I seldom get it right! :)
