Hello Jeff,

Condulet. LB or an LR depending on the configuration.

Sincerely,

Corey

Corey,

Glad to see you back here.

Wouldn't that be an LB or LL? ;)

(I always did get the LL and LR confused as to which way I was supposed to be looking at them, but I thought it was from the conduit entry at the other end????)

Hi Jerry,

Hope all is well.

From Jeff's photo it is difficult to see. If it turns and goes into the wall it is an LR. If it runs parallel to the wall it would be an LB.

That is most certainly a LB, L is for the general shape and B is for the conduit entry from the back. And just what is wrong with the mildly rusted cover?

Corey,

Nope, that didn't clear it up any.

I always thought that it was labeled as though you were looking in through the open end, i.e, the 'L' means it is an ell shaped conduit body, the 'B' means it exits out the bottom, the 'L' means it exits out to the left, and the 'R' means it exits out to the right - I got that, BUT ...

'Which way' is "left" and which way is "right"?

The one in the photo would be either an LB (out the bottom) or an LL (out the left), right? See attached drawing.

As I said "I always did get the LL and LR confused as to which way I was supposed to be looking at them", so I have to remember that I look at them via the bottom instead of the top. Guess I just have a mental block for that.

I've revised my drawing to reflect the correct way.
