Sort of close. Believe it or not, this house has a 40 amp service.

What the Heck?
What's the pipe for?

Well, the bottom cast iron part is the main plumbing vent. Actually, it's the only plumbing vent.

Satellite TV cable entrance. I hope they didn't use an existing plumbing vent!

Looks like a backed up drain pipe, those fettuccine noodles will do it every time. LOL.

John, Were those wires live? Where did they terminate? Just curious.

They were not live.

I never saw where they terminated. The selling agent called the owner, and he said he had been planning on installing some solar equipment on the roof, and that's what the cables were for. He is using the only plumbing vent as a chase/conduit.

When he told the agent that the wires were not live, she said "That's OK, then, right?", and I, of course, said, "No, I'm afraid not".
