I need some help. This Heatilator GB4942 with a 6" B-Vent flue did not have a damper in it. I could not find anything in the installation guidelines that says it even needed one. Any help would be great.

No damper required or approved for this unit. I went onto the Heatilator Dealer site and pulled up the most current manual, Rev. H. BTW, this unit started production 1/19/04 and is currently being produced. This size is known as a 42" Geneva. I know the engineer who designed this unit and I was a part of a cmte. reviewing facing options and revisions to the burner. The original burner was a little noisy. There is a high limit switch behind the removable hood, which is manual reset. These units can come in standing pilot or intermittent pilot ignition in NG or LP.
