Replacing polybutylene fittings

I recently reported polybyutylene (gray service entrance and copper manifold). A plumber replaced the fittings. Now the agent wants me to explain to the client that the problem is solved.

What's your take on this one?

Sounds like the Agent wants you to Close Their Deal and assume all the liability.

Get a repair letter from your chosen Licensed Plumbing Professional upon completion of the repairs. ;)

Like Billy said, let the agent call the plumber who did the work and let that plumber issue an all clear (after all, that was the plumber who decided that only the fittings needed to be replaced -let him back it up), that will be your "Get Out Of Jail Free" card.

Okay, that's not exactly what Billy said, but I believe it is essentially what he meant. :)

What did you say the problem was with the poly?

I just did what I always do. I explained that pipe similar to this has been know to have a high failure rate and that it had been implicated in a class action law suit. I then recommended further evaluation by a licensed professional plumber.
