New kitchen circuits

After reading various sources, I have concluded that there is no CODE requirement :) for outlet HEIGHTS above the floor. What I am interested in is the consensus of more knowledgeable people as to the STANDARD :confused: and/or most DESIRABLE :confused: heights of new floor outlets in a kitchen and heights of new counter top outlets in a kitchen. The counter top circuits (there will be 2 of them) are GFCI protected. Any and All opinions and reasons will be appreciated.
