What's with the iron pipe coming out of that one flue? Gas line?

Yeah, that's the great idea. The gas line running accross the roof, throught the flue, into the firebox of the wood buring fireplace, and attaching to the log insert.

What's all the noise, they used the correct pipe for gas give them some credit. They also wanted to preheat the gas for better atomization

Aside from the apparent idiocy . . .that looks like my neighborhood and my fireplace stack!

However, Isn't the center flue the only one that is active? The vents to the side are just for show on my home and in fact are plugged with concrete similar to the one on the south of the one in the photo.
