Soon I will start the Knowledge Center (or it may be called something else. Do you have a suggestion?)

What I will do is post a quiz and ask you to select the correct answer. Your answer will be anonymous just like the polls.

During the time the quiz is up I will lock the thread so that there is no discussion. I would like to see people answer with as will help or direction as possible.

The following week (or maybe twice a week) I will post an additional quiz and and open up the forum for discussion on the preceding quiz.

While I'm still in the planning process of this your input would be appreciated so that WE can create this in the best way possible.

Brian - I'm really new to this have been a member for a while but not very involved till just recently and am trying to learn my way around.

I like your idea and think it would be educational and maybe fun.

Some of the guys seem to be ruthless so I like the limited discussion period.

Will let you know if I think of anything that might be helpful to you.

Brian,

Personally I don't think a "poll" would legitimately represent us who are actual inspectors.

One can look at the amount of guests who are on the board and who some have joined only to ask questions which pertains to their own personal homes. These that are not HI's and allowed to answer poll questions would not give an accurate perception of the knowledge for the rest of the members.

That is why I will continue to think that this board ought to be somewhat limited to the actual participants in the HI business and not a board which could be compared to a HGTV question board.

Just my honest opinion,

rick

I don't understand what you will be quizzing on. All answers can be found by Google.
Typically this board is about "what is this" or does this look Right, etc.

You posting the result polls that the public can view may be to our demise.

Well not mine of course :D

I agree with Greg...a short discussion period may be the best way to go.

Sounds like a great idea...

I like the idea of limiting the responses, maybe only one or two replies from an individual so the threads don't digress into an argument between a couple people.
