View Full Version : Concentric vent termination

I need some input here. I see several direct vent pipe that seem too low. We do get heavy snow at time that may cover a pipe if its like this one.
I think these vents should be at least 12" above ground but can't find documentation.
Any help would be appreciated.

Although many are similar, you should check the manfacturer's specs for the particur device.

Check out page 18. Remember, all dimensions are above snow line.

Thanks Steve and Bob. I knew there was something somewhere about 12", just couldn't find it. I will include this diagram in report. It would seem that common sense tells us to put the vent above snow line, but then it's amazing what we see sometimes.
By the way there are 2 stones lodged down in the pipe. Can't imagine how that happened. :confused:

Yes, common sense tells one to put it above snow levels. Ya don't need no stinkin reference document.
