Is anyone familiar with these plastic pex fittings. I've never seen them before. Any known problems?

That's WIRSBO brand PEX pipe and fittings. Good stuff, have in my own home. The plastic rings are expanded with a tool and slipped into place. The rings have a "memory" and shrink back to original size in just a few seconds. Just Google Wirsbo PEX for more info.

Pex plumbing is good; however you might want to check the water pressure of the home; if its over 80 psi it can be harmful to the pex plumbing. ;)

Wirsbo (now Uponor). Doesnt get any better than those fittings for reliability and quality. Best in the market.

You can put the worst kink you can in that tubing, then heat it it up and it will go back to its original form and be no weaker.
