Lintel required ?

Hi all,

I was wondering if this kind of stone needs lintel to support. It looks like its glued on the plywood underneath. The job was done a year ago by the homeowner, no sign of crack on the mortar so far.

I forgot to ask, do I need weep holes ? Since its stock on plywood, what would be the purpose of having weep holes ?

No lintel or weep holes required. Think of the faux stone as fancy stucco, it has almost the same install and application requirements.

FYI, it is not installed properly. You should not be able to see the wood framing. It should have a finished bottom and flashing.

I think Faux Stone will be (is) the New Stucco.
