Brian,

Sorry to put this here, but it illustrates something that does not happen everywhere:

This is normal text.

This is bold text.

I can see the difference in the "preview" mode.

But both (on my system, anyway) display as bold once posted.

But in a similar post in the "Help" topic, the only the bolded test is displayed as bold:

Hi Michael,

I moved this to the HELP section.

On my side it looks fine.

I'm wondering if it is a monitor resolution issue on your side.

Give this a try.

In the controls above select the text as "Arial"

Try "Arial"

Try "Arial" and bold .

Try "Arial Black"

Try "Arial Black" and bold

If the other post was "Arial Black" it already has a bold look to it.

Any help?

Looks good except that your first line "Arial" does not look correct. The rest do.

Double check that you selected it and selected "Arial" and that bold was not selected.

Brian I don't want to seem like a butt, but can't you make everyones post defaulted not to be BOLD (and they can change it if they like) . Its really annoying to me and I had to stop reading the threads because of it.

Hi Mike,

The default font is not bold. This is bold

I agree with you and it is one of the changes I will make.

What you are see is the font "Verana"

If you change it to Arial it it looks like this.

This is my preference and I will look to make this the default.

Richard R,

Click on "UserCP", then "Edit Options", and then "Message Editor Interface" which is towards the bottom in Miscellaneous Options. Change that from "Basic Editor" to "Enhanced Interface". Next time you post you will have all the freakin controls.

The controls above this text box. Does everyone have those? You should by default. Who is not seeing the editor icons?

I have the editor but what I am saying is it should be not bold by default. Most of the post I view are bold ( Brian says its verdana) and is hard on the eyes. It hurts my eyes

Mike, it must be the settings on your computer. It does not appear bold on either of my computers.

The post you just put up is in regular text possibly Arial. But it's strange because the default on mine is Verdana? and I have to change it everytime. The first post on the forum is all Verdana which appears bold.

I think Brian is messing with my head. Now Verdana doesn't appear bold in my last post. It was definitely a bold issue because Brian acknowledge it.
