pressure guages on gas lines at furnaces

hello, the air gauges that are used to test the gas lines are still attached at the furnaces in attic and crawlspace. is this OK or should I recommend that they be removed and capped? The house was built in 2007 and it appears that they have been there since installation,,,,

I think I would remove them. Often the quality of gauges used for the initial pressure test is an inexpensive one (or it wouldn't have been left behind). Cheap gauges will leak after time, it may be a short time or it may be a couple of years but the potential for danger is obvious.

I'd be interested in hearing other's opinions.
