The diverter valve jams half way, so the sprayer wand doesn't work properly.
Can this spigot be removed from above? It is up against an exterior wall.

Placing tub and shower plumbing on exterior walls should be avoided for this very reason.

yikes. My guess is that the plumber installed the valve before he set the tub. That is going to be nasty to fix.

John, it can be removed from above....putting it back is the hard part:D

Yes it can be removed, with the right plumbers tool.
