This is a vague question but I just want to get a few thoughts on this configuration. Home built in 1994, single story, single family. The spot footing looked good although I had questions about the TJI which is being used as a "filler" between the the beams, and the notch.

TJIs are relatively uncharted territory for me, but I doubt that angle connection / termination would be building dept. approved. Since they are an engineered product, I believe you would have to rely exclusively on manufacturer data for allowable uses. Even though electrical galvanized rigid conduit carries a U/L label, it does not mean it can be used for plumbing.

Ugh. Looking at that is making my eyes hurt. What on earth are they trying to support there? It looks like they dreamed that up on the spot.
