I'm in school to become a home inspector in San Antonio, Texas. As I go through the home study part of the class, I sometimes have trouble understanding what I've just read. So I've been coming on Inspection News and following your posts as you discuss different subjects. As I follow a thread, understanding gradually dawns. One of the best things that you can do is hook up with other inspectors, either online or with a local group. When you've got questions or are confused over something just speak up. Our industry is always looking to bring in new people who will dedicate themselves to the profession.

Hard to ask questions to an on-line course :D .....For each of our inspection courses, we have a dedicated thread for that. It is monitored 'round the clock.
