Did a rural property yesterday spent 45 min looking for the electrical panel finally went into attic and lo and behold there it was in the far reaches of the attic.
This the first one I have seen like this, just wondering how some of you would write this up.
I put it as a safety item because of difficult access and other problems because of heat.
Just wondering if anyone has ever seen this.

The panel is required to be located where the occupants have ready access to the overcurrent devices - and the attic does not fit that description.

I'd recommend relocating the panel down to the living space or outdoors, whichever is easier to do.

What means are required to gain access to the attic? A permanent set of stairs could make it readily accessible.

Multiple considerations would need to be made to leave the panel in the attic and provided a permanent stair.

Including, but not necessarily limited to:
- stairway requirements
- work platform in front of panel
- access to panel
- is the panel rated for installation in the ambient heat of the attic, how about the breakers
- headroom to and from the panel
- walkway to the panel
- etc.
