Greetings everyone. I'm Jim Marchman, a relative newbie inspector working in the Atlanta, Georgia area. I was glad to find this site and am excited to see that a conference is coming to Georgia in September.
My background is in residential property management. My family owned many rental houses during my upbringing and I got to be the maintenance guy, exterminator, remodeler, glazer, lawnmower man and anything else required to keep the family rentals occupied. Thankfully, my father had a degree in industrial arts education and worked his way through college as a plumber. I benefited from his knowledge and take pride in doing quality work.
My current workload is comprised almost entirely of insurance inspections. I enjoy the work but hope to expand into property preservation more.
Looking forward to exchanging ideas with the group.
Thanks for reading and say hello sometime!
Jim
