I tried this once B4 w/ minimal success. Where do you all come up w/ these supportive illustrations ? I would prefer not having the wander the web for one / a / the illustration that might be beneficial. I am interested in, ( and assume I'm not alone ), in buying software that is an illustration library and would help me illustrate what my texting skills are challenged to do. Currently I am aware of something electrical created by a Mike Holt and have actually tried a "Color Illustrated Home", but that would not operate at all, ( incompatible w/ Vista / my operating system ). Any suggestions appreciated.

You mentioned Mike Holt. He actually has a lot of stuff that he gives away for free including graphics like the example below. You can check all of it out here:

I think Douglas Hansen is now selling Paddy Morrisey's Code Check illustrations as well.

Of course, at $140.00, he's not giving them away.

A few years back, I bought a "Means Illustrated Construction Dictionary" and it had a CD with all the illustrations. I have used it from time to time. I've also published a book on Amazon and I just used my own pictures amassed over the last ten years from various inspections.
