Hello to all
I saw 6 of these in the attic. Can anyone tell me what they are?

Thanks

They are foam baffles, designed to keep the insulation from blocking the soffit vents. Ideally they should be fastened to the roof truss to hold them in place.

They are installed prior to the installer blowing the insulation. These do not appear to be far enough up the rake of the rafters to do much good. The installer probably blew insulation over and into the soffit making the area clogged and preventing air circulation...which these apparatusses were supposed are supposed to prevent.

It looks like they may have cut them into thirds to save money because usually they are usually 4 to 5 feet in length.

6 of these in the attic.

Only 6? How many soffit vents? Continuous soffit venting?

I suspect there are not enough to provide proper and adequate attic ventilation, even if there is no insulation blocking the soffit vents.

Robert,

I agree with everyone else have said. I would suggest you make client aware so
they may have them correctly place and secured so they can fully serve their purpose.

Thanks.
