I've not seen this before (either in the field or on the web)....any info would be appreciated! The system appears to be a self-adhesive membrane/underlayment (perforated white texture on top of a black base), then a 2-inch metal band is installed atop the underlayment parallel with the ridge. The metal band has pairs of steel hooks that hold the edge of the slate. An thick vinyl-type interlayment is installed over the metal strap and extends near to the hook. The slate is simply laid upon slope and slid down against the hooks. Any tile can be removed by sliding it up and then pulling it above the hooks and then sliding it down and out. The blurry photo is a mess, but you can make out the basics of the system.
