Hey everyone. I just bought a fixer upper on the hood canal for a wekend get away and thought this would be a great place for information. I have already used this site for framing questions and it was extremely helpful. I look forward to proffessional comments on my "Do It Yourself" requests for help.

Where on Hood Canal? Tawanoh side or Belfair side? Your location says Port Ludlow.

Oh yeah, that's the Washington State DOT floating bridge that sometimes sinks, isn't it? That and the Narrows and the I-90 Bridge between Seattle and Mercer Island ! Seattle can build airplanes but their bridges really suck...All three are below: :)

The Hood Canal (http://bit.ly/PnHaMt) :)
The Hood Canal is a fjord... who knew??Some of the deepest in the world, that's why the Navy has quite a few known and more unknown/uncounted nuclear subs based there in Bangor. Worked there in the early eighties for a sub-contractor doing concrete work. The Super for the base said at that time there is more underground that isn't visible than what people see above....Kinda like NORAD-West. Between Fort Lewis/McChord and Bangor, Washington State is a LARGE target.
