why not, but when you see this fiberglass batts attached to the garage door,
what are you gonna say?

You mean other than to say "You realize you have to remove all that insulation and turn it around so the facing is against the garage door because the facing is not allowed to be left exposed - think RISK OF FIRE; either that or cover it with drywall, but that will make the door quite heavy." :)

Great idea.... Poor execution. I have seen this done before, only with fiberglass insulation with a vinyl backing designed for this purpose. Probably where they got the idea, just not informed. Fiberglass Insulation (http://www.texasgarages.com/akit.htm)

They do sell pop insulation panels for garage door. Takes about 5 minutes to do the door, and look a lot neater.....and won't be a fire hazard.

If it is secure during operation of the door, I would not mention it at all.
