Hello all, 1st time post, I seem to have a hard time getting the age of sears -kenmore water heaters, my CD tech reference guide is no help, the model number is 409.737002 serial number H99146668 ,40 gallon economiser, any help would be greatly appreciated, as well any resources for age of appliance you can suggest would be great, thanks.

Hey John

Don't count on the serial number with Kenmore (Sears)
You have to contact Sears with the model number to get the actual year of manufacturing - been there done that - Phone numbers are in CD guide

steve

a slight correction--state owned kenmore but now A.O. SMITH bought state. ao smith makes the kenmore tank but its specs are different then the tank AO makes under its own name. kenmore tanks will have ao smith stamp on them--don't know when this all happened.
