Has anyone seen a radiant floor heating system run off a tankless Rheem water heater? If so did it work properly?

This system was installed in an old church converted to residential use. And keeps shuting down not supplying heat. Seller says it worked fine last winter. Contractoe who installed it said I told him it would not work.

Client all pissed off looking at having to purchase a boiler. And looking at what recourse they have going back on the seller. They are not made at me yet.

Your opionions would be appreciated.

you're in illiinois, right? Total violation of the Ill. Plumbing Code. Water Heaters (storage type or on-demand) may NOT be on closed systems. The tankless is specifically NOT a boiler and its instructions & listing prohibit such use. Require a means to release 02 & Hydrogen gas, no open faucet. Constant re-heating of the same water recirculating will break down the molecular bonds.

Contact Rheem and get it from them in print. They have a good technical department/desk that will email you install guidelines, etc..
