Hi All, Found this, that looks like a thermastac next to a dishwasher and 1 in the upstairs bathroom. Both had current. Put I'm not sure of their purpose. Home owner was not available to ask. Any idea what this is used for?

In floor radiant heat thermostat, or a toe-kick heater.

I'm a second to Dom's heat T-stat theory. I have learned on this site of faux electrical devices used as security devices, ( motion sensors ?), but doubt that is what's in play here.

I do not think what is pictured has anything to do with an alarm system.
