Fyi if you are an inspector in OntarioThose questions seem to be directed to the boards of directors of the various associations.

No way individual inspectors can answer most of them, and surely they wouldn't want half-baked answers to come in from all over the province, or would they???? Do they even know what they want to know????:)

Bring on some hockey, or incorporate roller derby rules into the curling, eh?

A HI voting against licensing will not prevent licensing. It is inevitable, IMO, now that the West has adopted it and nobody was injured or killed. :D

My mom used to say."if John jumped of the bridge would you" in my case yes...but in this case why?
Who benefits from it?
My clients found me thru yellow page and web search.
Reltors dont hire me.
Why do I have to pay for another license? I am just giving my money to the government...and I dont want to.

Until carpenters and locksmiths need license I suggest they keep looking for another way to bail the province out...its a money grab...full stop:mad:

This month, Peg's Furnace Fiasco!

The HVAC service company is licenced.
TSSA is the authority overseeing the HVAC industry as per government regulation.

Licencing working for the public alright! NOT.

So much for the protection of consumer!

Sorry to hear Peg's story..as you point out its licensing not doing its job. Drivers have licensing to move Passengers cars and trucks...and police to ticket the bad ones....
Peg said it best...Research who your hiring. Buyer beware.

Recently my mom had called a handy man group in Ottawa, their claim was all licensed and insured..they do the small jobs...guy came over and quoted her crazy money...she called me, i suggested she call the mans boss...she then called the boss...he came over and fixed whatever the problem was and said no charge...the first gent doesn't work there anymore...

There are unscrupulous people everywhere, with all sorts of professional pedigree, just watch the news...

If the problem is bailing out the province, I do have plans for that, but thats another thread...;)
