I would love to see one of these in person. The only thing I can say about it is that it probably compromises the vapor barrier somehow, but who cares?

Not anymore than any other exterior door.

But this door doesn't have the usual meeting point of siding to door frame. The door looks like it is recessed into the wall, with the siding over it, over an air space. Wouldn't a house wrap be applied just under the siding, without that huge air gap? The facade over the door doesn't look like it's got any kind of air seal or anything between it and the rest of the siding. That's what made me think that it would be a gap in the vapor barrier.
