Believe it or not the seller says she will fix a negative sloping furnace vent pipe connector only if I can provide the code for it. I do not recite codes in my reports but use diagrams to illustrate the 1/4 inch per foot slope upward away from the furnace. I'm sure someone here knows it off the top of their head. Thanks for the help.

G2427.10.8 (503.10.8) Slope. A vent connector shall be installed without dips or sags and shall slope upward toward the vent or chimney at least 1/4 inch per foot (21 mm/m).

Exception: Vent connectors attached to a mechanical draft system installed in accordance with the appliance and draft system manufacturers’ instructions.

IRC M1803.3 ...Connectors shall be as short and straight as
possible and installed with a slope of not less than 1/4 inch (6 mm)
rise per foot of run....
