PLEASE HELP MY ELECTRIC FURNACE BLOWER WILL NOT CUT OFF NO MATTER THE TEMPERATURE. IT IS SET ON AUTOMATIC FAN.IS THERE A SIMPLE FIX? IS THERE A RESET BUTTON? CAN I FLIP THE BREAKER ON THE FURNACE? I AM SCARED OF BEING SHOCKED SO I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE WIRING. AGAIN PLEASE HELP:confused: :(

Unplug it.

You can't unplug an electric furnace. You could try shutting the breaker off but that likely won't reset the unit.

Best to contact a qualified heating contractor familiar with electric furnace. Could be a temperature limit switch gone bad, or bad switch.

Just because the fan continues to run is not going to cause harm, the electrical elements will come on and off as per thermostat setting. Its just the fan continuing to run.

Fan blowing cool air continuity would not be an option for me.

Yes, you can flip the breaker off to turn the fan off, and when it gets cool in the house you can flip the breaker back on for heat again - you that will make for one very long night.

You will need to call for a service technician to come out to repair it, could be a thermostat problem, could be a control board problem, could be other causes but you need to let the technician determine what the problem is and correct it, you just want heat for the night - right?

When the unit is running, is the heat coming on, then off, then back on, just the fan stays on? If so (i.e., the heat is working properly) then I'd be inclined to just direct the supply registers so the cool air didn't blow directly on the beds and let the heat come on when it is needed - sure beats staying up all night turning the breaker on and off ...

Could be as simple as the thermostat. If he fan turns off when you switch the setting from Auto to Off and then the fan comes on when switching to Continuous Fan. Its in the thermostat
