So Wrong, yet????

This is so wrong, yet, how would you write it up? This is in the basement of a 70 year old house on a concrete slab floor. It looks to be around 20 years old as someone replaced the original piping with PVC. Is this more stupid than wrong?

Does the drain have a trap and is it vented? If so, I'm all good.

If not, I would note it but otherwise, it looks like the old lady doesn't want hubby showering upstairs after work so they rigged this in. The buyer can decide how important it is. Unless there's a sconce in the stall, I'd just shrug.

I WOUD SUGGEST KEEPING ONE FOOT ON THE DRAIN IN CASE SOMEONE TAKES A POOP UPSTAIRS..:eek:

That is presuming the poop comes down the inside of the pipe. An inspection of a three-story rental was quite revealing when a third-floor resident flushed a toilet. I heard the water coming, but it did not sound right. I stepped back - way back. And it hit the floor below the last ell. Yes, really.
