At yesterday's inspection, the walk around the house showed the furnace and gas water heaters were high efficient models with PVC exhaust pipes. When I got up on the roof, I saw this b-vent and thought it looked too short for the pitch of the roof and wondered what it was being used for. After getting into the basement, I see the b-vent is no longer in use......in the basement that is. When I got into the attic, I saw the owners had decided to use the b-vent through the roof as the exhaust for the bath vent fans. It doesn't appear to be working too well. ;)
