Hello All...my name is Michael Mugford of Downeast Inspection Services, LLC (serving ME, NH & VT). I just wanted to introduce myself as a newly licensed HI after 35 years in the building & development fields. I have built over 1500 residential housing units on both the East & West coasts and have a great deal of experience in ICF technology. My company sponsored and helped build on of the first ICF Habitat-for-Humanity homes in CA in 2007. After years of "doing battle" with building inspectors of all types, and then having a not-so-pleasant dealing with a local inspector on a real estate transaction recently, I chose the home inspection field as a way to share my experiences and hopefully not become "one of them".;) I thoroughly enjoy reading the forum input on Inspection News and hope that I will be able to use (and share) in the resource for years to come. I look forward to meeting all of you in the near future and sharing some war stories...Mike
