- Do the inspection preferably in the morning
- Use your infrared thermometer, Fluke type, and take temp measurements at various points on the driveway
- Go check the boiler, note temp, system psi, etc; run boiler for a while during your HI; at some point once the system shows it is hot at the boiler, go take temp readings at the same locations
- note temp and psi on boiler system; turn the boiler back to original setting
- note findings in your report about readings and locations
- add disclaimer that you ran system, seemed to work, blah, blah but you didn't do IR scans or verify tubing integrity

If you have a infrared camera, you should be able to see the heated runs,of course there has to be enough of a temperature difference.

Why not disclaim the heated driveway?

Unless you have a iR camera you have no effective way of confirming operation or that its installed the correct depth under the surface of the driveway. Nor whether its leaking unless of course you conduct a pressure test. Seems to be a big liability to offer an opinion.

In my own view I think I would defer to a iR specialist or a heating contractor.

Lay on the driveway and if you are warm and comfy, getting sleepy, then it's good.

Or use an IR camera, but if you don't have one, disclaim it. Jerry will hate this, but call for further evaluation by an appropriate expert.:D
