Is this type of vent exhaust acceptable to be used for dryers?

It has to have a back-draft damper.

No, and in addition to the damper, those types of have a flat end the exhaust to is blowing against - and if any manufacturer approved the use of those, the effective length that would add to the dryer exhaust duct length would probably exceed the equivalent of adding in 2, 3, or even 4 - 90 degree elbows (which add 5 feet each).

Never understood why dryer exhaust/vent was allowed to vent thru the roof Having said that the length of vent is limited only by the dryer mfg but the issue is what dryer is to be installed so it gets complicated and logically limited to 25 feet with necessary reductions for configurations
