View Full Version : Any trouble Posting or Replying on the board?

Hi everyone,

I made some changes last night to speed up the site but want to know if you have run into any issues creating a new post.

I ran into an error message when making a new post using the Chrome Browser but I could reply without a problem.
With FireFox I could post and reply.

It may just be a cache issue I'm having but want to see if anyone else is having trouble.

I'm using Chrome and have not been able to open the last post from Billy regarding "Scam?". When I try to open it it goes into a loop reloading the post, that I have to click the "what's new" button to get out of it. I was able to see the post only when I did a "respond with quote" and looked down through the thread. Haven't had any trouble with other posts.

Interesting.

I resolved my issue by going back to the page, Holding my Shift key and hit F5 to reload.

I wonder if you accessed that page when I was experimenting. That is how I messed myself up.

Please give that a try and see if it reloads with the proper code so that it will not continue to refresh.

Please keep me posted if you find other threads that do the same thing.

On the plus side the google speed rating has gone from 59 to 87. I'm not sure if you notice the increase in speed but it's nice to know that google does.

Brian, I didn't understand what you wanted me to do before, shift f5 did correct the problem. Sorry for the confusion.

No problem, that is exactly what I wanted you to do. On the page the kept refreshing do the Shift F5.

If it was just that one page I'm not real concerned as long as there are not many pages like that.

Hi John,

The link opens slowly ( maybe give it a little time. )

Or just highlight it and copy into the Search Bar. ;)

Hi Bill,

I have sent them on and off. There is an issue with the program were some people are receiving up to 3 at a time and others are not getting them. I am about to scrap it and start with a new system for delivering the email digest.

Thank you for reminding me how important it is.
