The Da Vinci Tower (also known as Dynamic Architecture Building) is a proposed 313 m (1,027 ft), 68-floor tower in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The tower is expected to be architecturally innovative. Uniquely, each floor will be able to rotate independently. This will result in a constantly changing shape of the tower. Each floor will rotate a maximum of one full rotation in 90 minutes. The entire tower will be powered from wind turbines and solar panels. Five other buildings in the vicinity will also be provided with electricity. The turbines will be located between each of the rotating floors. They could generate up to 1,200,000 kilowatt-hours of energy.

All they have to do is cover expenses ... for the 6 months the inspection will take ... for the inspector and assistant inspectors (the family assists, right?). :)

Yeah, that might take a while. I'd want to know who made the bearings on the rotating shaft and what kind of guarantee there is.
Biggest building I've done was an 11 story mid-rise; took 2 weeks top to bottom.

The sand should work wonders on the bearings, its a pretty dusty place as you can imagine.

I wonder how they account for the stresses with such a compressed support structure. Just can't see myself wanting to go into such a building. Sounds like an architect dreaming beyond reality.

Each pod on a hinge point of the column. Can't imagine the stresses. The turbine makes great kitchen disposal though. :p
