I have joined for information as we have an old house built in 1811. We have lived here since 1986 and are trying to preserve it as well as keep it safe. It was built by French people fleeing the French Revolution. They were sold lots on the Ohio River at a place now known as Gallipolis, Ohio. The name mens "city of the Gauls". The original owner was the silversmith of the king of France.
