You can't fix stupid. If it was possible, there would be less work for home inspectors, attorneys, doctors, &c. . . .

nah, you're looking at it wrong. The photo is upside down and in reality that is just a duct support. Don't ask me how they got their drill inside of the duct to put the screw in.
