I'm not on Facebook (and have no plans to be on Facebook in the future either), so that is not an option for me, otherwise - Yes!

Two Thumbs Up. I have a new guy coming onboard and I told him to study the site and sponge as much as he could from the posts on the site.

I'm with Jerry!

Not into this "like" stuff. If you "Like" something-----contribute content.

But Brian, I do "Like" Inspection News,(sounds like the TV program my wife watches).... with them asking "Do you "Like" the dress?...":D

Yes Brian, I "Like" Inspection News!

Hi Brian-
Definitely like it, but I gave up Facebook for Lent, so I can't "like it" until after Easter :-).

I'm trying to focus on direct relationships rather than cyber ones!

While I'm sure to take some heat for it, I'll say No.

The content is great, but the site's performance and barrage of ads are a turn off.

I don't spend as much time as I used to on this site, mostly for those reasons.

Dom.

I don't 'like' anything, but I LIKE InspectionNews.net
We couldn't do it without you.
Thanks.
Your site draws quite a great group of informed individuals. I learn alot...I'm sure others do as well.

Dom, I mut be on a different site than you. I don get a "barrage" of ads (you didn't mention where you were seeing them), I don't get a smiodar of ads, unless they are so small that I don't notice them.

If performance is your real issue, I beg to differ with you. As a retired network engineer, the performance of the site is withing acceptable limits based upon resources and maintenance. If speed is your issue because you have a 1000 Gigabyte drop to your home and the site is slow, I suggest that you contact your ISP and discuss routing with them. Good luck if it's a cable company.

Remember, this site is managed bye ONE person who obtains financial support from the "pesky ads" you are complaining about, as well as donations.

Having previously worked on Web sites, I really appreciate Brian's efforts to offer a site such as this, and I feel that you are way off-base.

My 2-cents. ;)

I'm highly computer literate; this is the only site I frequent that loads slow and is consistently a poor performing site with multiple computers, and either IE or Firefox.

To each his own, I was offering up an opinion only after being asked. I wasn't being critical just for fun.

I do value Brian's efforts, but the older BB was snappier. And I have always been willing to pay for an ad free version of the site, but none is offered.

Dom.

Hey Dom, no offence taken. I like your honesty and will continue to work on speed while keeping the sponsors as a means of support for the site.

Dom, I see you are from Orlando. If you have Brighthouse as your ISP they seem to have issues North of Tampa or Orlando. Or, the network they are using for that span going North, from where ever they are getting it, from is having issues.

The network is suffering from traffic bursts no matter what the time of day. Perhaps you are seeing this because they are using the same path as your ISP (if it isn't Brighthouse). Nothing for a few seconds, then click---it's there... Other routes could be used for other websites and that path is clear.

Rich,

Dom and I share our own direct satellite link to Silicone Valley servers and sometimes sell unused bandwidth to Brighthouse ...

oh ... wait ... isn't this 04/01/14?
