Florida question on hiring an HI who is not licensed

Can I hire an inspector that is not currently licensed, he is experienced and had his own company but got out before licenses were required. He not wants back in and will obtain a license eventually. My question is: can I have him do inspections under my name? Thanks

You can hire him to do anything other than inspections.

Why not just have him get his Florida home inspector's license (http://www.nachi.org/florida.htm)? He can do it all online now.
