They installed standard trusses and sheathed them in *one day*? Get real.

It takes longer than a day to sheath the house too.

(With that few workers.)

In Gainesville, Florida, maybe 25-30 years ago, a single family detached house was constructed in one day, start to finish - only the footings had been dug, the underground plumbing installed, and the earth compacted before the start of work on that day.

From placing the moisture barrier, the steel, and placing the concrete, to framing and sheathing the exterior walls, to assembling the trusses and sheathing them, to painting, wallpaper and carpet - one day - starting just before dawn and ending after dusk.

Of course, though, there were 300-400 workers doing the work.

The walls were framed and sheathed on the lot to one side, then set in place, the trusses were assembled and sheathed on the lot to the other side, then the entire roof hoisted into place in one piece. Wiring in each wall was installed while the walls were on the other lot, then the wiring run to the panel tied together there.

Sure, But the directions for that house are in Japanese and 1000 square feet costs a cool million. Other than that I like the mechanical fastening system.
