Can anyone tell me the what type of insulation is this and does it represent any danger to the dwellers health?

We need more information than a blurry close up of an unrecognizable feature in order to give any opinion.
Please take some longer range establishing shots so we can see if we are looking at wall, floor, ceiling. Then get some better close up shots of the insulation itself, not just a sliver visible through a crack in the wall. Insulation in a house that old could be anything from saw dust to vermiculite to modern cellulose. If you want to know for sure, a sample is needed.
