There are a number of issues going on with this setup as it is but I'm just not sure if this item in particular is an issue.
Here is the setup.....the house has a 200 amp disconnect that feeds into a box for a permanent gas fired generator outside the house. The service cable exits the generator box and feeds what appears to have been the main service panel before the generator or 200 amp disconnect and another subpanel were added. So the flow is 200 amp main disconnect (service panel), then generator box, then subpanel #1, then subpanel #2.
The start off with, the grounding conductors are coming off the 1st subpanel and not the 200 amp main disconnect and the 1st subpanel does not have the neutrals and grounds separated. The breaker in subpanel #1 that feeds subpanel #2 is a 100 amp double pole breaker and the cable used to feed subpanel #2 appears to be a 100 amp cable. But the breaker in subpanel #2 is a 200 amp cable. I'm not sure if this is a problem or not. Granted, there are a number of other issues present but I'm not sure if this feed to subpanel #2 is a problem.
Thoughts?
