Cracked brick veneer beneath concrete porch

Hello folks,

First time posting and would like your opinion of the pictured cracks and how I wrote this up.

Cracked brick veneer observed on the left side of porch. This may be the result of area water saturation due to the lack of downspout extensions not directing water away from the structure. The accumulating water could saturate the soil possibly causing the settling of the footer or seeping between the footer and brick. During winter months as the ground freezes, the saturated soil along with settled water between the footer and brick expands as it freezes and may exert enough upward\downward pressure to crack the mortar and with repeated freeze thaw cycles crack the brick.

That looks like concrete poured with a brick pattern form, not brick.

The concrete stem wall is cracked with some separation. This is a structural concern that may worsen if not corrected. A qualified foundation repair specialist or structural engineer should evaluate further and design a proper repair. A qualified contractor should execute the designed repair.

Unless i'm missing a bigger picture, this looks like an unimportant, minor repair. The porch has sunk a little. It will continue to sink (or not) but probably so slowly you will barely notice. Repair the crack in the masonry to keep moisture out.
