Rim Joist not sitting on block foundation- span to pier to pier

10 year old Log house rim joist sitting on block piers spanning from pier to pier, sill plate not sitting on block foundation wall (I'm assuming the 2x10 rim joist is carrying the load from pier to pier) Just don't see this much at all. (no signs of any sagging floor joists) Any thoughts on this would help
