Certification in Michigan for termite inspections

Does anyone know what is required to be certified in Michigan to do termite (WDO) inspections. I have called several State offices, and have spoken to ASHI. No one seems to know. I do know that if you are are an exterminator you have to be licensed, but if you are NOT using chemicals is that certification still needed?
