Gas Line Under Concrete

Refresh my thoughts on this. Gas line under an outdoor concrete and flagstone slab. No sleeve or vent. It does not go under a building at any point, and it only under the concrete for about 2 feet until the concrete ends and it is underground for another six feet or so. Is it different for gas line under a slab that is not under the house?

Where does it come from - is that the gas meter at the edge of the photo?

It comes from overhead along the patio eave, goes under the slab for a few feet, is under dirt for six feet or so, and then comes back up and goes into the pool house mechanical room sidewall.

Based on your description, the IRC does not require a sleeve or vent (no sleeve to vent).

Maybe Bob H will see this and maybe there is something in NFPA 58 which addresses it, otherwise ... it is just stupidity to run a gas line under concrete, but at least it is not for very long (about 2 feet) so any leaking gas has a means to escape up through the soil and the cracks in the concrete/stones.
