I am about to go try to get a permit for a lightweight patio cover. (almost a pergola no roof material just 2x6 rafters spaced 16" apart).
Is it acceptable to attach a 2x6 ledger (with proper bolts) to the existing Fascia.
I just think it would be so much easier attach wood to wood rather than drilling into my existing stucco house. Guess the Permit office will tell me yes or no. Just wondered if it was LEGAL any where?
Also, can anyone recommend a reliable builder in the Vegas area?. I CAN do this project myself. But its pretty hot now . I don't want to spend an insane amount of money either
